Cornhole Boards, Bags, Score Towers, and More!
Why Choose Our Boards?
There are a lot of choices when it comes to buying cornhole boards. There are some nice ones out there and some not so nice ones. We have put a lot of thought into building our top quality boards and it begins with the playing surface. We use 3/4” cabinet grade Baltic Birch plywood. Most of our competitors use only 1/2" plywood and that makes a big difference when a 1lb bag hits the playing surface. This thinner plywood causes the bags to bounce or "trampoline" and the lighter weight of the plywood only enhances this effect. We also choose to use Poplar wood for the frame and legs. Poplar wood is a hard, dense wood and is more durable.
Another aspect of our boards that set us apart from the rest is the fold-able legs. We see far too many board designs that have a very basic and cheap use of the hardware that secures the legs to the frame. It usually involves a bolt and a wingnut. This is sure to come loose and over time the hardware will get lost or even worse, the holes in the frame and legs will wear out causing an unstable set of boards. We have designed our boards to have the hardware securely mounted by using a nut and a washer to secure the carriage bolt to the frame. A series of washers and nuts holds the legs onto the carriage bolt and is sure to stay in tact with the use of thread locker.
The angle at which the legs rest is another problem we saw with our competitors boards. Most of them only extend at a 90 degree angle and after constant pounding from the bags hitting the playing surface, the legs will start to fold back underneath the board and cause the board to collapse. We have designed our legs with a little more angle to make sure the boards stay put.
The cross member on the legs is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it actually serves a purpose. When a bag flies through the hole, it usually ends up at the rear of the board. This can cause confusion when it comes time to picking up the bags and counting points because if you were not paying attention to how the bag ended up there, it could be counted as 0 points for a bag that slid off the playing surface instead of 3 points for landing in the hole. The cross member we designed traps the bag so there is no question if it is 3 points or 0 points.
We believe our boards will eliminate these key issues and will give you the highest quality for the best price!
